Please provide a short Bio
After graduating Wayne State with my marketing degree, I was fortunate enough to start an internship at GTB. After a 10 week internship, I was offered an opportunity at GTB working as an Assistant Media Planner under the Connections team. Since then, I have been promoted to Connections Planner and I couldn’t be more excited to see what the future holds in my career!
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your career that has acted as a mentor to you?
A: When I started working in Connections as an Assistant Media Planner, Mia Gocaj was the main person who trained me and challenged me with more responsibilities. I have now moved up to Connections Planner and I definitely have her to thank for constantly encouraging and supporting me.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about digital marketing? About your current company?
A: I love learning about digital marketing and the constant evolution of technology and how we can leverage it from an advertising stand point. The most exciting part is coming forward with new and innovative capabilities that we believe will most benefit our clients.
Q: What’s the most memorable moment of your career?
A: The most memorable part of my career so far was seeing a new campaign launch that I worked on for months. It is a great feeling seeing your hard work come to fruition.
Q: What advice would you give to a young person in the business, or even a college student looking to get into it?
A: Make connections, put yourself out there, and jump into organizations like 313 digital that will make it easier for you to educate yourself on the industry and meet people who will point you in the right direction.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about 313 Digital?
A: I think that 313 Digital is a great way to network and stay involved in the advertising industry in Detroit. They put on great educational events as well as fun networking activities. It is a great organization to be a part of whether you are just graduating college or if you have been working in advertising for many years.
