|
The start of a new year always brings optimism and excitement! With resolutions and a vow to better one's life, we all experience the resetting of the "GO" button. Sometimes, however, we need our surroundings to help us stay energized and on point. 313 Digital hopes to be able to be one of those drivers in 2010. Every year we feel it is important to provide the membership with tools to be smarter and even more successful in your career endeavors. Not only does it benefit you as a member but has a greater and lasting effect on our advertising community as a whole. 313 Digital has many touch points to keep everyone of our members busy after work hours. There are committees and activities ranging from mentoring our local newbies to lending a helping hand to those less fortunate to social happy hours to keep us connected. We want to make sure this club fulfills your needs, caters to your continued knowledge and makes you that better human you are striving to become and maintain. This organization is only made stronger through the collective efforts of it's membership, so please jump onto www.313digital.org for more info on how you can participate. Thank you! Q: Who has been the most influential person in your career that has acted as a mentor to you? A: The most influential person in my advertising career is Jamila Price. Jamila is my current supervisor and is someone who has literally helped me to mature within the industry. She has not only has challenged me but has provided me with opportunities and advice that not only have built my confidence but opened my eyes to many experiences and situations within digital media. It is comforting to know that regardless of the situation, I can always go to her, knowing I'll be receiving honest and genuine advice. Q: What's your favorite thing about digital marketing? About Team Detroit? A: The pace of digital marketing is one of my favorite things about the industry. The fact that it is still an ever growing medium, and growing at an extremely fast pace, never makes for a dull day. It also allows for some great out-of-the-box ideas and initiatives, which are what initially, drew me into digital marketing. My favorite thing about Team Detroit is the atmosphere and the diversified group of people that work here. I have met such a wide variety of people, all with different backgrounds; the culture here is admirable. Read more>>> |
